🔬 Method Comparison (IVD / Clinical Lab)
Bland-Altman · Passing-Bablok · Deming — agreement evaluation for two methods / instruments
🔧 All Tools
Data (per line = one pair: Method A (reference) Method B (candidate))
Notes
· Passing-Bablok: non-parametric, robust to outliers and reference-method error; the first choice for IVD method comparison. Agreement is judged by whether the slope 95% CI includes 1 and the intercept CI includes 0.
· Deming: accounts for measurement error in both methods (equal precision by default), minimizing two-direction residuals.
· Bland-Altman: difference vs mean; inspect constant bias (mean difference) and proportional bias (diff changing with mean); 95% limits of agreement LoA = mean diff ± 1.96×SD.
· Decision: slope CI includes 1, intercept CI includes 0, and no proportional bias → the two methods agree.
