Accelerated life testing (ALT): run tests at high temperature / high stress, then use an acceleration model to extrapolate life at normal use conditions. The Arrhenius model suits temperature acceleration (electronics / chemicals); the inverse power law suits voltage / mechanical stress acceleration.
